The City of Dickinson will host a public input meeting Monday, April 7, from 4 to 6 p.m. MT to discuss proposed improvements to 5th Street Southeast from South Main Avenue to 6th Avenue Southeast.

The meeting will be held at City Hall located at 38 1st St. W, Dickinson, ND. There will be an open house format.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) will host a public input meeting Monday, March 31, from 5 to 7 p.m. to discuss proposed improvements to the intersection of US 83 and ND 23. 

Westbound Interstate 94 Exit 156 will temporarily close Monday, March 31, for guardrail repairs.

The work is expected to take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should use an alternate route during this time frame. 

The North Dakota Department of Transportation will initiate a series of lane closures on Centennial Road/Bismarck Expressway in early April to support ongoing work for the I-94 Interchange (Exit 161) Reconstruction project. These closures are essential to maintain traffic flow as the project progresses.

Starting Tuesday, April 1, 19th Street Southeast in Mandan will be temporarily closed from 43rd Avenue Southeast to 46th Avenue Southeast to allow construction crews to install a new storm sewer system, which is part of the Memorial Highway Reconstruction project. 

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) is ramping up construction at the I-94 Exit 161 interchange. This construction season, crews will focus on building a new bridge, demolishing the existing structure, constructing new ramps, and upgrading surrounding roadways, including Centennial Road/Bismarck Expressway. The work will unfold in phases, with major milestones expected to be completed by November 2025.

Construction is scheduled to begin Tuesday, April 1, on Interstate 94 east of Bismarck.  

The project includes reconstruction of the eastbound lanes from the mile marker 162 to 172 and reconstruction of a portion of the eastbound Apple Creek rest area parking lot. 

A structure replacement project is scheduled to begin April 1 at the Sterling Interchange, Exit 182, on Interstate 94.

Construction on Memorial Highway in Mandan is set to begin around April 1, with preparations already underway.

Construction along I-94 on Grant Marsh Bridge is advancing steadily and on track for completion by late October or early November. To keep the project on schedule, crews will be adjusting traffic patterns on the bridge and on River Road underneath the work area.

Temporary lane closures are scheduled for Bismarck Expressway from South Washington and Expressway to McKenzie Drive in Mandan until mid-October.

Rail maintenance work originally scheduled to begin Monday, September 9, has been rescheduled to begin Monday, September 16.  The railroad will be working on maintenance of the crossing in Casselton on North Dakota Highway 18 (Langer Avenue). Langer Avenue will be closed at this location.

The westbound off-ramp at Interstate 94 Exit 328 going north will close temporarily beginning Tuesday, September 10. This closure will also impact the west access to the I-94 frontage road as well.

The City of Grand Forks and North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) are proposing the construction of a grade separated crossing at the intersection of 42nd Street and DeMers Avenue in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Currently, five build alternatives are being analyzed to achieve the purpose and need for the project.

A public input meeting will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. CST on Wednesday, August 16, at the Rough Rider Center, 2209 Wolves Den Parkway in Watford City.

Traffic control will be reduced on Bismarck Expressway beginning in the evening of Friday, June 30, for the holiday weekend. Traffic control will remain in place from Seventh Street to 12th Street in both directions on Bismarck Expressway for the weekend.

Additional safety measures have been taken in the construction zone on Ninth Street. Lane closures from Bismarck Expressway to Front Avenue have been extended from a single far left lane to both left lanes. Speed limits have also been reduced in the construction zone for the safety of motorists and work crews.

The culvert replacement project is now complete two miles south of the junction of U.S. Highway 85 and North Dakota Highway 200 at mile point 105. Highway 85 is now fully open to traffic.

Maintenance work scheduled to begin Tuesday, June 27, on lighting structures at the 32nd Avenue Interchange on Interstate 29 in Grand Forks. 

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) is relocating the Beulah Driver License Office beginning on Wednesday, June 28. The new office is located at the Civic Center, 250 Seventh St. NE. in Beulah.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) is opening the new Devils Lake Driver License Office on Monday, July 3. The new office is located at City Plaza, 210 Highway 2 W. Ste 13. 

A public input meeting will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on June 29 at the Hi-Liner Activity Center, 493 Central Ave. N. in Valley City. The meeting will utilize an open house format with a formal presentation at 5:45 p.m.

Roadwork on the 19th Street bridge over Interstate 94 will begin Monday, June 26. Crews will be setting portable concrete barriers and doing bridge overlay work on the southbound lane first, stretching from Capital Avenue to Interstate Avenue.

Traffic control on Bismarck Expressway between Washington Street and Ninth Street will be removed before the kickoff of the Sam McQuade Sr. Charity Softball Tournament. Cones will be removed on or before Thursday, June 22 to ease traffic flow.

Roadwork on Ninth Street between Bismarck Expressway and Front Avenue will begin June 19. The northbound far west lane will be closed at the start of construction, with other lane closures expected during the project.

Construction is scheduled to begin Wednesday, June 21, on the Memorial Highway exit ramp and northbound Interstate 194 south of the BNSF Railway underpass in Mandan.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) announces that night paving operations on East Bismarck Expressway will begin Sunday, June 18, and will continue through the week. Work will occur nightly from 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. and will be located between Burlington Drive (near the Rock Island Walmart) to just north of Main Street at Rosser Avenue.

The Interstate 94 Exit 156 westbound ramp is scheduled to temporarily close tomorrow for a sign installation project in Bismarck. During this closure, Interstate 194 westbound will be reduced to one lane near the project.

Beginning Tuesday, June 13, at 6 p.m. Mountain time U.S. Highway 85 will be closed two miles south of the junction of U.S. 85 and North Dakota Highway 200 or 29 miles north of Belfield due to an emergency culvert replacement.

Application of oil and rock chips – known as chip sealing – begins today on N.D. Highway 1 and N.D. 200 and involves the cities of Hannaford and Cooperstown. The work will take place on N.D. 1 from the junction of N.D. 26, near Dazey to the west junction of N.D. 200. Additionally, work will take place on N.D. 200 from the east junction of N.D. 1 to one mile east of Cooperstown. Chip sealing will preserve and extend the life of the pavement.

Road repairs are scheduled to begin Thursday, June 8, on U.S. Highway 2, and N.D. Highways 32, 17 and 18. Work is expected to be completed the end of June.

Construction is scheduled to begin Thursday, June 8, on North Dakota Highway 5 three miles east of Joliette. Surface repairs such as milling, reclaiming, and paving will be done. The project is expected to be completed by the end of June.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) issued the following statement today in response to the announcement that the NDDOT was awarded a $30 million grant through the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) Project to Improve Efficiency, Connectivity, Equity, and Safety (PIECES) program. This project will include the construction of a bridge separating road and rail at Demers/42nd street in Grand Forks.
